Yacine Daddi Addoun

Yacine Daddi Addoun is an Assistant Professor of African & African-American Studies. He received his Ph. D. degree from York University, Toronto, Canada, his M.A. From l'INALCO in Paris and his B.A from the University of Algiers in Algeria. His research focuses on issues of slavery and its abolition in Algeria. He taught courses on African history from 1800 to the present, slavery in the Middle East and North Africa, and Islam in Africa. He is the co-editor of SHADD (Studies in the History of the African Diaspora Documents) of the Harriet Tubman Institute for Research on the Global Migrations of African Peoples.
