AAAS 311: Black Culture in Social Media

An introduction to Black culture, movements, and community building through the use of social media and other technological platforms. Topics include women's rights, music, R&B, hashtags by professional athletes, educational inequality, the prison system, and using social media to foster peace. This course is interdisciplinary and draws from the social sciences, humanities, and Generation Z culture in the United States.
